Jayant Raj

I'm Jayant Raj. I'm working on something new in custom packaging for industrial businesses.

Previously, I founded Olive Intelligence, a deep-tech startup aimed at improving therapeutic outcomes for people with speech-language disorders by improving biomarker analysis. I intended to make that my life's work, but it failed. I then consulted for a handful of startups and businesses for a while.

I went to grad school for CompE at NYU. I did some research work in data structure design and concurrency on K-V data structures. I had fun and learned a lot! Before that, I majored in math at Glasgow, briefly specializing in some topics in geometric topology surrounding the Lickorish-Wallace theorem, leading up to this thesis. In another life, I would have tried to become a topologist.

I made many funny choices in life, like deciding to major in math when it was my weakest subject in school (I was very bad at it). That has been my favorite adventure so far. I always tried to dive straight into challenges where I was completely out of my depth. Won some, lost some. Don't regret a single one!
